Utmost importance of the ministry of teaching God's Word Everything we do (workshops, general sessions, programs, promotion, organization) must be done with the utmost professionalism (I Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23) because the teaching of God's Word demands excellence, and teachers deserve the BEST training possible to help them accomplish their God-given calling of teaching God's Word. The Bible is the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God The Bible MUST be the ultimate textbook in every teaching effort of the church. For the salvation of lost and sinful man and woman, and for the Word of God to be learned and applied in a person's life, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential The Holy Spirit is the ultimate teacher (John 14:16). The present indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit enables the Christian to live a Godly life, to understand God's Word, to teach His Word effectively, and for the teaching of the Bible to have impact and be effective. The spiritual unity of believers in Christ (Galatians 3:26-28) Fellow Christians and different churches are not competitive, but cooperative, because we are all on the same "team," striving to accomplish the same commission. Those with greater ministry giftedness can help others to be more effective. Jesus is the Master Teacher, the model for all teachers to follow Jesus had the ultimate knowledge of the Bible, He cared for the people, His teaching was practical, He used everyday life to relate to people, He taught people where they were, and He used every method possible to accomplish His goal of teaching God's Word and changing lives. Jesus's final command to His followers was to be disciple-makers. This includes: pastors, children's ministers, youth pastors, children's church teachers, youth leaders, and Sunday school teachers. |
